Retail Manager – Little Stoke, Gloucestershire

Break has over 50 charity shops in East Anglia and the West Country, operating since 1968. The income from the charity shops is vital to the development and continuation of the services we provide for children, young people and families. We pride ourselves on selling good quality donated goods at affordable prices. We operate a recycling system, so every donation is put to good use, generating more income. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced retailer with great people skills, who is confident working in a fast-paced environment. You will be organised, driven and proactive with a hands-on approach to a varied and busy workload to manage our new shop in Little Stoke, Gloucestershire.  

A background in charity retailing would be an advantage for this position.

Key Responsibilities

As Retail Manager, you’ll be responsible for hitting the sales targets set so you’ll also need to have the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of staff and volunteers. Great customer service is essential to maximise income as is sourcing and merchandising stock. You will have the ability to manage a team of volunteers/staff, handle cash and have an understanding of a retail environment.

Essential Information

Salary:  £18,418 per annum

You will also earn commission at a rate of 1% of eligible sales (subject to conditions)

Hours:  28 hours per week

Contract: Permanent
